What should I know before starting a translation?Īll existing complete or uncomplete translations are included in the Zenphoto release package. If you don't have control over the server, contact your host. If you use MAMP (MacOS) for local development go to /Applications/MAMP/conf/apache/nf and comment the line: LoadModule perl_module modules/mod_perl.so by prepending the line with a hash (#). Since Zenphoto does not require mod_perl you may disable it to make translations work again. It concerns Apache version 2.4.46 and maybe earlier versions. Note 2: On some servers translations do not work because of a bug in Apache's mod_perl. If it is not there, let us know and we will add it. Check this list to be sure your language is included. Zenphoto includes a file "zp-core/functions-l18n.php" that contains a prefdefined list of languages and their related locales. Note 1: This tutorial refers mainly to the development build of Zenphoto since localization/translation is a work in progress. Using Zenphoto on local servers (08 March 2019) Translations (gettext) not working on some servers with mod_perl enabled (20 February 2021) Your support helps pay for this server, and helps development of zenphoto.
